Are the classifiers dropped in casual speech ever or are they used in both writing and colloquial language? eg would หนังนี้ไม่เหมาะกะเด็ก sound wrong in colloquial Thai?

When I would go to Chiang Mai, they would speak tinglish and pronounce English words wrong, and I still didn't understand them. And even when Thai people who speak English know, their Thai friend is pronouncing the word wrong, they don't correct them.

Excellent, I'm planning to retire in Thailand, seems like a very wonderful place.

Thank you ! The most difficult for me is เงิน . When i speak it to Google translator it offten confuses sound with หนึ่ง . Thais in real life also sometimes don’t understand what I’m saying.

I think you should explain that the question comes at the end and then translate it in Thai as you say it not how we say it in English

I finally understood when a Thai friend said to me. BPAI is like saying let's go. And Maa is like saying come here. Now I get what you are saying
